Dr. Stopperich, who was born and raised in Canonsburg, PA, has been practicing in McMurray since 1999. He completed his undergraduate education at Duquesne University where he majored in Biology. In 1993 he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Stopperich has been the recipient of numerous awards including the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) Student Award and the American Dental Society of Anesthesia Research Award.
After graduating from dental school he completed a one-year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He was then accepted into the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of Florida where he completed his training in 1998.
Dr. Stopperich is a fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), a fellow and diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS). He has served as the past president of the Western PA Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (PSOMS), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of Osseointegration, and several other organizations on a local, state and national level.
Dr. Stopperich has consistently been voted by his peers as a top Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon as listed in Pittsburgh magazine. He currently maintains multiple professional study clubs to promote advanced continuing education for the local dental community.
Dr. Stopperich and his wife, Lauren, reside in Venetia, Pa with their four children — Paige, Alec, Aidan, and Jillian.
